Greenwich – a history of keeping up to date (with Planning too)

Greenwich has a reputation for keeping up with the times, often leading by example. Hence the presence of the Royal Observatory and all the work which went to establishing a meridian line running through Greenwich as 0^olongitude – the modern basis for global time-keeping and navigation.
